Lucy Mae Jones: Lucy Mae Jones, age 103, Oak Ridge died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at NHC Health Centre. She was born August 18, 1907, Lone Mountain, Tennessee, daughter of Andrew T. Hopper and Cynthia Jackson, Hopper.Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, working puzzles, fishing, gardening and flowers. She's survived by son, Tom T. Jones Jr., and wife, Betty, of Oak Ridge; grandchildren, Ronnie Jones and wife, Sandy, of Karns, Sandra Jones of Chattanooga, and Denny Jones and wife, Teresa, of Clinton; great-grandchildren, Jeannie Tennent and husband, Josh, Derek Jones, MaKenzie Jones, Veronica Jones and husband, James, and Lexie Jones; great-great-grandchild, Jace Tennent; special niece, Loretta Gladson and husband, Orville, of Rogersville; and particular friends, Tom and Claudia Raudorf of Oak Ridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas T. Jones, in 1980, brothers George, Frank, Clyde, Fred Tilman and Hopper, and stepmother, Kate Boyd Hopper. Family wishes to express its appreciation to the staff of NHC Health Centre and Caris Hospice, support and compassion shown Mrs. Jones. The family received friends 6-7 pm Thursday, May 26th, 2011 at Weatherford Mortuary.
